Reality Goggles is the project of Liverpool musician Nick Hunt, who uses guitars and feedback, trumpet, voice and electronics to make this quartet of drifting psyche-pop songs.

The EP begins with the ecological themes reflected in the title; opener "The Spike Tree" is an electro-inspired track about trees being legally vandalised to stop birds roosting on them. "Hinkley Walker", which follows, is a post-apocalyptic paean to the Hinkley C nuclear power plant with lyrics inspired by Russell Hoban's science fiction masterpiece "Ridley Walker". The instrumental "Fragments of Balloon" gives everyone's favourite party accessory a lead role, while plumbing forgotten memories with kitsch organ lines and phased trumpets. Finally, this set closes with "Latearly", a meditation on the end of party nights and the start of something new.
